A postpartum doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to families after the birth of a baby. Our role is to help you feel supported, confident, and cared for as you recover and adjust to life with a newborn. This support may include newborn care guidance, emotional reassurance, feeding support, light household assistance related to baby care, and helping you get much-needed rest.

What makes Adore & Cherish different is that our care is RN-led. Families receive nurturing, hands-on postpartum and newborn support, along with more informed guidance, experienced observation, and practical education. We are here to help you feel cared for, confident, and less alone during the early weeks at home.

No. While our care is RN-informed, Adore & Cherish does not provide medical treatment, diagnosis, or replace your healthcare provider. We offer education, guidance, and emotional support, and can help you recognize when it may be appropriate to reach out to your doctor or midwife.

Many families choose to book support before birth to ensure availability. However, you can reach out at any point postpartum — whether that’s immediately after delivery or weeks later when things start to feel overwhelming. There is no “too late” when it comes to support.

Each visit is tailored to you. Support may include: • Emotional reassurance and listening without judgment • Newborn care guidance • Feeding support (breast, bottle, or combo feeding) • Helping you rest while baby is cared for • Light baby-related tidying • Answering questions and easing anxieties Your needs guide every visit.

Visit length depends on the package you choose. Most visits range from 2–4 hours, allowing enough time to meaningfully support you without feeling rushed.

Yes. Supporting the family unit is important. We are happy to answer partner questions, provide reassurance, and help everyone feel more confident and supported during the postpartum period.

We provide in-home postpartum support within our service area. Please contact us to confirm availability in your location.

Yes. We offer virtual consultations and text-based support options for families who prefer remote care or need guidance between visits.

Postpartum doula services are typically not covered by insurance. However, because services are RN-informed, we can provide superbills upon request for possible reimbursement depending on your plan. We recommend checking directly with your insurance provider.
